Blogging is taking the world by storm and big name blogs like Scobleizer are read by millions of people (collectively known as the blogosphere). A blog, or weblog, is simply an online journal where you can record your thoughts and share them with anyone who's interested. Blogging is fun and so we thought it would be convenient to design a blogging application that sat right there in Intranet Suite.
When you have a group of people working together - whether that's in the same office or across continents - it's good to get to know people. Blogging is a great way to passively interact with your colleagues; remember, a blog can be about anything at all, you could be working on a project and writing up your experiences, or you might just want to share your holiday snaps with friends. However you choose to use it, the Blog module is a great way to share content with everyone in Intranet Suite.
Another great motivator for developing the Blogging module was to bring people into the system. Quite often you'll find that when you deploy a new Intranet, half the battle is actually getting people to use it. With cool tools like Blogging that are easy to use and fun, as well as being genuine productivity and collaborative plusses, you'll find that your users will be far more interested in seeing what else is on offer in their new Intranet.
