The calendar module really is at the hub of Intranet Suite's scheduling and time management. It's a multi-purpose module that changes its face depending on who's using it and what it's being used for.

Primarily it offers a great base calendar to every user- fire it up and you get all of the expected functionality like task, event and meeting scheduling, plus some little extras that you won't see in other web-based calendars like drag and drop rescheduling. All of the standard calendar events support visibility settings such as public, private and eyes only. In addition a user can specify calendar delegates- named users who get full control over their calendars, great for PA's and team members who need access to each others calendars.

Calendar is integrated with other modules too, like the Resource Manager. You can quickly locate and view the calendars of any resources in your organisation - and book them right there in Calendar too. It will check for scheduling conflicts and make sure that your resource booking process all runs smoothly. Resource Managers can approve and decline resource booking requests by simply clicking and resource and hitting the Approve or Decline buttons.

Another great Calendar feature is the events subscription list. Convea runs a web service through our free Convea Plus add-on that lets user subscribe to events lists on a range of subjects such as football match dates or world events and holidays. In addition, you can create your own, private events lists and let users subscribe to those, such as project deadlines and training courses and more. Once subscribed a user simply sees an unobtrusive text event in the calendar views.

Of course, the Calendar module also works flawlessly across time-zones. All events you see are in your time, the translation is automatic and needs no complicated explanations- we've done all the hard work on that.
