The Chat Rooms module is another community builder- a module that users will want to use and that will help spur adoption of your new Intranet. It supports the creation of unlimited public and private rooms, and an unlimited number of participants in each room.

You might think that providing a place where your employees or teams members can spend chatting would be a hit to productivity, on the contrary, when you are working on a project and your people are in different locations, getting together for a chat can be far more productive. It's instant and everyone can save off a copy of the chat history for future reference. Far better than wasting endless hour's toing and froing emails. It's there and it's instant and anybody can use it to chat, exchange files and learn about each other.

And because the module is hosted on your private server your communications never leave the network. If you have an SSL certificate installed then all chat sessions are encrypted- your sensitive information never flows through other people's servers getting logged who knows where.

This module is part of the core Intranet Suite and does not need to be purchased seperately.
