When you need to manage the personal files and folders that you'll create using Intranet Suite, the File Manager module is the place to do it. Offering a powerful front-end that lets you cut and paste files and folders, create new files and folders, there isn't a task that you can't accomplish with File Manager quickly and easily.
File Manager also has some convenient functionality built right in, like public shared folders that everyone can access. Simply drop files into your shared folder and make them instantly available to everyone. Users access them from the Finder module by selecting a user and clicking the View Shared Files option.
Another great feature - again a built-in folder type - is the My Pictures and My Documents folders. The folders are created automatically when a user account is created, and wherever you are in intranet suite, if you need to choose a picture or a file, Intranet Suite will go straight the right folder for maximum convenience.
File Manager also recognises many different file types: double-click a text document and it will open in Intranet Suite's Notepad module. Double-click an image it will launch it's built in browser. And the same for Word document, Excel file and more.
