Never miss an important message
The System Messages module is how Platform 6 and Intranet Suite 2005 communicate with its users. As well as receiving a friendly welcome message when they first log (that gently brings your attention to this module) you'll find that the system is built around this messagin structure. When a user books a resource a system message is issued to the resources manager, and from right there in the message he can start up calendar and authorise the bookiing. When you watch discussion topics, system messages are generated when someone replies. System message are just much cleaner and obvious than using email- but of course there an option of receive email notiticatons of new system messages!
The System messages module is also where you go to set up you messasig preferences. Want to know when another users signs in or or out? Just add them to your notifications list - if you are not online at the time the system will email you and let you know.
When we get the SMS part of our Convea Plus service up and running we'll extend system messages to your mobile too.
